The Iranian Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Ambassador Mohammad Tanhaei (middle), together with Minister Modjtaba Nadali (right) paid a courtesy call on PNOC EC President and CEO Pedro A. Aquino, Jr. last 27 April 2016.
Ambassador Tanhaei expressed his eagerness to work with PNOC EC and discussed a wide array of possible areas of cooperation such as oil exploration, production and other fields in the energy sector including petroleum product trade. The Ambassador is very optimistic about the trade relations between the Philippines and Iran as a result of the lifting of the US-led Western states’ economic sanctions on their country. It is expected that by lifting of the sanctions, trade between the Philippines and Iran in the sector of oil will resume.
