Ombudsman clears PNOC EC President and CEO Pedro A. Aquino Jr. and the Members of the PNOC EC Board

For lack of substantial evidence and probable cause, the Office of the Ombudsman has dismissed the case against PNOC EC President and CEO Pedro A. Aquino, Jr., members of the PNOC EC Board, including Mr. Asllan Jaku of Pionaire Finance Limited Hong Kong.

The complaint was filed by Mr. Bernardo V. Lopez for violation of the following provisions of R.A. No. 3019 (Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act) specifically Section 3 (a), (e), (g), (i), and (j) and for Grave Misconduct.

In its decision, the Ombudsman said that the Complainant (Lopez) failed to substantiate his allegations that the respondents committed the criminal offenses charged.

The Resolution dismissing the case was issued on 28 March 2018 but was approved by Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales on 10 April 2018.
