PNOC EC COMPLETES 3RD GENDER SENSITIVITY TRAINING

Taguig City – PNOC Exploration Corporation (PNOC EC), the oil, gas, and coal exploration and development arm of the Government, successfully completed its third Gender Sensitivity Training (GST) for its personnel from 6 to 7 June, 2018 at the Company’s head office in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Ten female and nine (9) male employees, representing 14 of the Company’s departments, attended the intensive two-day training.

Among the topics covered by the training were: Basic Gender and Development (GAD) Concepts, the legal basis for the GAD initiatives of the National Government, such as Republic Act 9710 (the Magna Carta of Women) and Republic Act 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act), the need for gender-fair language in official communications and correspondence, and the Manifestations of Gender Bias.

This is part of PNOC EC’s commitments to the Philippine Commission on Women, as part of its GAD Plans and Programs for 2018.

PNOC EC is also planning to hold an Executive Briefing on GAD for its current Board of Directors within the year.
