PNOC EC Conducts IEC for COC 41

PNOC EC conducted IEC activities in Zamboanga Sibugay in line with its COC 41 ECC and planned mine project. Addressing the audience is Engr. Rolando V. Oliquino, Project Development Manager of PNOC EC.

PNOC EC CONDUCTS IEC FOR COC 41

Zamboanga Sibugay Province – PNOC Exploration Corporation, the upstream oil, gas, and coal exploration and development arm of the National Government, successfully held three (3) Information, Education, and Communications (IEC) activities from July 18 to 19, 2018.

These IEC’s were held to inform the Local Governments and the Communities that PNOC EC is recommencing its operations for its Mine 3 in COC 41 which straddles portions of the Municipalities of Malangas and Imelda. The mine is expected to be developed starting this year, and is estimated to produce at least 149,000 MT of coal until 2030.

The IEC activities were done as part of PNOC EC’s compliance in line with tis Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) for Coal Operating Contract (COC) 41.
