PNOC EC Donates Gen Sets to Quake-Devastated Magsaysay Town

PNOC EC donated portable generator sets to Magsaysay, Davao Del Sur, after the town was hit by successive earthquakes from October to December last year. Magsaysay, Davao Del Sur (10 January 2020) – PNOC Exploration Corporation, the upstream oil, gas, and coal exploration and development arm of the National Government, donated four 10 KVA (kilo-volt ampere) portable generator sets to the Municipality of Magsaysay in Davao Del Sur.

Magsaysay was hit by four successive earthquakes from October to December of the previous year and suffered heavy infrastructural damage. Magsaysay Mayor Arthur Davin explained that the generators would be used to run the submersible pumps that help provide water for the entire town, in case of power outages which still occur periodically. 

Mayor Davin expressed his deepest gratitude to PNOC EC on behalf of the people of Magsaysay in their time of urgent need.
