PNOC EC Holds Training Seminar For Santiago City Women's Group

PNOC EC successfully conducted a three-day training seminar for the Women’s Group of Dariok Hills, in cooperation with DTI Isabela, in Brgy Balintocatoc, Santiago City, Isabela. Mr. Jose Allan R. PNOC EC HOLDS TRAINING SEMINAR FOR SANTIAGO CITY WOMEN’S GROUP

Santiago City, Isabela – PNOC Exploration Corporation (PNOC EC), the oil, gas, and coal exploration and development arm of the Government, successfully conducted a three-day community-based livelihood training seminar for the Women’s Group of Dariok Hills, in Barangay Balintocatoc, Santiago City.

Santiago City is the host community for PNOC EC’s Service Contract 37 (SC 37) Mangosteen-1 Drilling Project.

Twenty-three women completed the comprehensive training program from 27 to 29 June, in cooperation with the Provincial Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) of Isabela.

Among the new skills learned by the participants throughout the three-day program were: Entrepreneurship and Basic Bookkeeping, the importance of Financial Reporting with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Intellectual Property Rights, Brand Equity and Trademarks, Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices, and the importance of Product Upgrading for Better Marketability.

These new skills were especially significant for the participants who had previously completed the training program for Breadmaking and Pastry Production NCII provided by TESDA.
