PNOC EC Joins MALAMPAYA-Led Relief Efforts

PNOC EC joined the Malampaya Foundation in distributing relief goods to victims of a massive fire in Brgy Sta Clara in Batangas City. Batangas City (26 April, 2019) – PNOC Exploration Corporation, the oil, gas, and coal exploration and development arm of the National Government joined the Malampaya Foundation’s relief efforts for families affected by a massive fire in Batangas City.

329 families from Brgy Sta Clara, near the area of the Batangas Port, fell victim to a blaze that razed 100 houses. The affected families are staying in three evacuation areas: Batangas City Evacuation Center, Provincial-PPA Livelihood Center, and Sta. Clara Elementary School.

PNOC EC, led by External Relations Manager, Mr. Jose Allan R. Caringal, joined other volunteers organized by the Malampaya Foundation in distributing relief goods to the affected families.

PNOC EC is a joint venture partner in the Malampaya Deepwater Gas-to-Power Project, along with Shell Philippines Exploration BV, and Chevron Malampaya LLC.
