PNOC EC Scholars are New Teachers
PNOC Exploration Corporation Scholars Edjane Mabanal (Left) and Surbaya Adam were among those who passed the Licensure Examinations for Teachers in December of 2024.
Bonifacio Global City, Taguig (15 January 2025) – PNOC Exploration Corporation, the upstream oil, gas, and coal exploration and development arm of the National Government, is proud to announce that two Scholars from Zamboanga Sibugay were among those who successfully hurdled the 2024 Licensure Examination for Teachers.
Mabanal and Adam are among the 20, 025 who passed the Board Exams for Professional Elementary School Teachers held in September of 2024. A total of 44, 002 took the exams. The Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) announced the official results on 13 December 2024.
Mabanal, who graduated Cum Laude from Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) in Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay, is now currently employed in PNOC EC’s head office in Taguig City. Adam, her batchmate and schoolmate at WMSU, is also currently applying for a position in the Company.
Both are just the latest to have benefited from the highly popular Scholarship Program of PNOC EC under its flagship Kaagapay Sa Karunungan Corporate Social Responsibility Program. The Company is currently supporting the education of 48 scholars in Zamboanga Sibugay under this program.
Zamboanga Sibugay is home to the Company’s two Coal Operating Contracts – COC 41 and COC 204.
